Guided journaling with your kind of people

Give your week a glow-up. Sit down, sip something delicious, and let a guided journal session nudge your thoughts into clarity. Add in a bunch of lovely people, and you’ve got yourself a feel-good gathering.

Whether you pull up a chair in a cosy Melbourne café or join us live over Zoom from your living room, these sessions are warm, intentional space to pause, reflect and reset.

Haven’t experienced journaling before? No worries, that’s what I’m here for. You’ll be led step-by-step through a simple, transformational framework that takes the pressure off and makes self-reflection feel natural, safe, and deeply restoring.

No overthinking, no writing experience needed and what you write is for your eyes only (we never read our journal entries out). This is a safe place where you’ll write for yourself, then enjoy real, uplifting connection with lovely people who get it.

“Wait… journal WITH other people? That idea makes me a little nervous!”

I get it. Journaling is about as personal as it gets. Showing up to write with others might sound like a test of courage!

But here’s the magic: when you journal in a truly empowering way, you walk away feeling lighter, more aware and proud of your growth. You put your pen down feeling inspired in a way that you actually want to connect with others who are making their own personal shifts and breakthroughs. It stops feeling like hard work and becomes a genuine celebration.

This is for people who love self-reflection, genuine connection, and celebrating personal growth. You keep 100% of your writing private. You get the quiet focus of guided self-reflection time, paired with the warm, uplifting energy of people doing the work alongside you.

It’s a space where you get to meet your kind of people.

Ingrid creates such a warm and welcoming space in her weekly journalling sessions. Each Friday, she gently guides us through the process, helping us identify feelings, reflect more deeply and discover the meaningful “gems” within our own writing. There is no pressure to follow the weekly theme or to share at the end. You are simply given the space to journal in the way you need, with Ingrid’s thoughtful guidance supporting you along the way. Through these sessions, I have uncovered deeper feelings, gained valuable insights and made discoveries about myself that I may not have reached on my own. It has become a very meaningful time for self-reflection each week. I would warmly recommend Journal With Ingrid to anyone wanting a gentle, supportive space to pause, write and reconnect with themselves.

I had a great time journaling with Ingrid. She’s developed a certain way of journaling that gives your writing focus in the right directions, so that you can use it as a tool for finding practical solutions in whatever is going on in your life. She’s holding the space and guiding the journalling in very warm and supportive manner, I instantly felt welcomed and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

What a magical way to spend a Sunday morning! I was so excited to discover Ingrid’s Journal, Connect & Cafe session. It was a beautiful morning of journalling, coffee and connection with like-minded souls. From the moment I arrived, Ingrid had created such a warm and welcoming space. She has a beautiful way of making you feel instantly comfortable, as though you’re already part of the family. With thoughtful guidance, kindness and compassion, Ingrid encourages you to simply put pen to paper without any pressure or expectations. Whether its your first time or already have a regular practice, it’s a wonderful opportunity to slow down, reflect and reconnect with yourself. There was something so special about sitting together, journalling with a cup of goodness, followed by wonderful conversations and genuine connection. I’m incredibly grateful that Ingrid has created such a meaningful space where people can come together, connect and enjoy the simple magic of pen and paper coupled with coffee of course too! It was the perfect soulful Sunday morning, and I left feeling uplifted and inspired. Such a beautiful little gift of time and space to give yourself shared with others. Thank you Ingrid for creating something so special. I can’t wait for the next one!

Ingrid's journal sessions are perfect for people like me that try to journal however somehow Ingrid has a way of asking questions that make the writing flow. I had no idea that mostly I have the answers inside me, it just takes lovely Ingrid to safely and calmly get me there! Such a warm compassionate space and cheaper than therapy!!

FAQ

Coffee, Conversations, and Clarity

How do the Journal & Connect sessions work?

Have a notebook and pen ready. Over a cuppa, whether it’s in person or online, enjoy being guided with an easy way to self-reflect that makes getting started easy, connects you with yourself and has you moving forward with clarity and inspiration.

After that, with everyone feeling reset, enjoy connecting with each other over wholesome conversations that are real and meaningful.

For the café sessions, you’ll be sent an email with the location and extra details the day before the session. For the online session, you’ll be sent an zoom link an hour before the session starts.

Do I Need Journal Experience?

Everyone is welcome, from avid journal writers to people who have never kept a journal. Journalling has nothing to do with your writing ability. You can be as messy as you like. Spelling and grammar rules are thrown out the window.

No-one gets to read your journal, ever! And so, you won’t be asked to share what you write about.

What’s Included?

You’ll experience a way of writing, that will change the way you journal. You’ll also be connecting with others in a meaningful way.

For the café sessions, the cost of your coffee is separate, you’ll order and pay for your drink at the cafe.

Who Will Be There?

These sessions are all about connecting with yourself, making personal shifts, celebrating personal growth while finding common ground and fresh perspectives. You’ll meet other lovely people of any age.

What If I Can’t Make The Session?

Life happens, and I’d rather journal with you than not at all. Which is why, if the something comes up, or plans change, just let me know and I’ll move your next café session or online drop-in session to the next date you’re available to make.

How Long Does The Session Last?

The café gatherings typically last 90 minutes and the online session run around 75 minutes. Around 30 minutes to journal (writing is guided in small bursts) and then time for enriching conversations and meaningful connections. Of course, if you get carried away in conversation, you’re welcome to stay longer.

“Before I attended the Journal and Connect sessions with Ingrid, I wasn’t sure what it would be like working through a process and journaling with people I didn’t know. However, the sessions exceeded my expectations, as Ingrid is adept at holding space for connection, creating a warm and calm environment that supports you to unpack, acknowledge and explore. Her guidance makes a real difference in my journaling. It’s easy to get off track on your own when putting pen to paper, but with Ingrid I quickly move into a space of calm and focus. This helps me process stress and uncover solutions. The added bonus is the sharing with new people and the resultant connections I have made with other participants. Sessions leave me feeling more positive, as I have worked through problems and done this within a caring community.”
